Well done Year 4 - you have worked
really hard this year!
It was all the way back in September when the
children studied habitats, not only within the school but along the woodland
area behind the staff carpark.
They enjoyed the work on mosaics so much that we
thought it would be a nice idea to let our visiting guests have a go
themselves during the evening.
The next topic focused on the Romans and Celts,
again the children produced some fantastic work. The Celtic patterns
were awesome and they all had fun designing their Roman Standards.
The year groups topic which was
based on the Egyptians was a real hit. We had a brilliant Egyptian Day (Click
here to view the pictures) where the children made numerous artefacts,
did role play and even had a banquet. Then lots of art continued their
learning as they looked into Death Masks. Well done to all of you - you
produced some fabulous work which you should all be very proud of.
Science is always a favourite and when they were
set the challenge of making their own torches - they all rose to it
brilliantly - we would have expected no less!
Cedar Tree Class has produced some beautiful pieces
of creative writing - developing their literacy skills in this way has
really stretched them
Mrs. Regan was very proud of the class when they
produced some fantastic restaurant menus.
Looking back over the year and seeing everything
the children had been doing really bought back some memories. The threading
of the needles for their sewing work is something I hope to forget again
though!!!
