There were an awful lot of entries - not just from our school but others too as it was an area-wide competition. However, the 'Big Bosses' at Tesco head office thought Mia Carter's had an edge over all other entries. It was bold and carried a short yet effective punch line to encourage us all to recycle.
Mia was invited to the Great Dunmow branch to have her photo taken for the paper and to collect a cheque for £500 for the school and £100 for herself - what a GREAT prize!
There were smiles all round as Mia and friends Isabel, Emma and Olivia met Councillor Barker and several other important people, together with a photographer to have her picture taken for the paper. She was handed an enormous cheque for Mrs. Ruck and her own prize and was grinning from ear to ear!
What a great day! Well done to Mia for all her hard work.
