With a very last minute addition from year 6 the capsule was ready to be sealed by site manager Mr. Martin Webberley

Year 6 wrote a selection of letters about themselves, carefully compiling them ready for being securely tucked away until...... who knows when!
Children from Willow and Beech Tree class in year 5 made a special card with their thoughts contained within. The children wrote something that they thought was good about the school.
Year 4 combined two items to enter in capsule - firstly a montage of newspaper extracts from events which have taken place in 2011 using local and national newspapers, along with a photograph of the year group.

Year 3 children decided on a class photograph from when the helicopter came to visit us - it was a fun day and obviously meant a lot to the children to think of adding it to the time capsule.

Children from Lime and Maple Tree class in year 2 added their class set of 'lolly-pop sticks' if you're unsure just as the children and I'm sure they will be more than happy to explain!

Our Year 1 children decided on putting a number fan in along with a photograph of Barnaby Bear - he certainly does a lot of travelling!

With the added help of lowering the capsule our Foundation Stage children placed a collage of pictures they had found after looking at catalogues showing their favourite toys to play with in school.

Then it was our turn to add to those contents ready for it to be buried within the school grounds. Each year group decided what they would like to place inside the capsule.

Before the capsule went anywhere Mrs. Ruck held an assembly to show the children what had been placed in the capsules originally.

Today was a very special day when the old time capsules originally put in the infants school at Rosemary Lane in March 2000 to mark the millennium was re-instated in our new primary school.

The Time Capsule was rescued by Mr. Mike Coleman, former Chair of Governors at the old school who kindly bought a new willow tree for our new grounds.
