Helen's once more free. We raise our swards in proud salute to Zeus and
victory!
And so quite contentedly the
Trojans fell asleep, then form the belly of the horse our brave heroes
crept. While Helen waved a torch to signal to the waiting fleet to
come and aid the preparation of Trojan mincemeat!
The Trojans were curious as to
what the hammering sounds were within the Greek camp, and surprised to see
their enemy's fleet of ships sailing away from the shores of Troy.
On discovering a huge wooden horse
which was left, they believed it to be a gift from the fleeing foes, they
rejoiced in their supposed victory and brought it into the city.
Odysseus was spotted in the crowd
by Helen, where he stated:
"Now listen closely as I tell you our
cunning plan, to win this war and so return you to your rightful man."
.....Where on earth am I? She
remembered dancing at a feast for her husband and his guests - perhaps it
was the bottles of retsina seemed to have more 'oomph' to her!
From the moment Paris popped his
clogs the night before, Helen felt strange, and what was more, she seemed to
wake up from a sleep, her senses all awry. Confused, she looked around and
hollered...
Following the death of Achilles,
Paris was slayed in a duel, releasing Helen from her trance-induced love.
Following the bitter battle, Poor
warrior Achilles is left devastated by the killing of his friend and vows to
slay the Trojan prince, Hector.
The vengeful and sly Paris decides to
lure Achilles into the city by using Princess Polyxena as a honey trap! It
worked! Paris shoots an arrow into Achilles vulnerable heel.
Along came Hector - brother to
Paris. who advised not to show any cowardice. And the fellow Trojans were
summoned
They eventually reached their
destination and were sure to be there to stay. Until , that is, they'd
rescued fair Helen!
Paris arrived as a guest at the
court of Menelaus, king of Sparta, and immediately fell for his beautiful
wife - she in turn struck with a well aimed arrow from Eros' bow, falls for
Paris and, in a trance, was whisked back to Troy.
BUT it was Aphrodite's promise to
give him the most beautiful mortal woman, Helen of Sparta, which clinched
it. Furious at this Hera and Athene vow to bring destruction on Paris'
home city of Troy.
Aphrodite reckons she knew all his
fantasies, promising to give him a beautiful woman that would make him go
weak at the knees!
Paris, a handsome but sly Trojan
was asked to make the tough decision on their behalf. What reward could
these gorgeous girl's possibly offer Paris to sway his decision......
Hera, Aphrodite and Athene were
arguing over which of them was the most beautiful.
Let's begin atop
a mountain - Olympus to be precise - where the gods and goddesses
chilled out - 'twas paradise. But something was amiss up here, things
weren't as serene and calm. Three Feisty girls were threatening to do each
other harm.
