Comic Relief 2024

Science Week 2024

Science Week  at GDPS aimed  to promote a love of learning and fun within Science. I think we can safely say, with the buzz around the school, that this was achieved.

Sporting Events 2023/2024

Great Dunmow Primary School are very proud to offer pupils the oppportunity to compete in sporting competitions against other local schools.  Please see below a selction of team photos from this last year.

Strictly come dancing

The pupils in Year 6 took part in their own version of Strictly.  The children dressed up and were amazing when performing classic dance routines in front of their proud parents.

Children In need 2023

The children made a great effort to help raise funds for Children In Need today.

Sports Day - Summer 2023

Because of the size of the school we don't always have whole school events, so sports day is one of the occasions that we are able to bring together some of the year groups. Sport at our school is very high profile and the idea of sports day is to give everyone the chance to take part regardless of their ability. It was also great to see parents and their children enjoying the picnic on the field during lunchtime.  Please see a selction of pictures from the day.

King's Coronation Celebration 2023

The children had a wonderful day celebrating the King's Coronation today (5th May).  Please see below a selection of pictures from our day.

World Book Day
It was fantastic to see parents reading with their children today for World Book Day. We want to foster
the love of reading in our school and your role in that plays a large part, so thank you. The pupils were
treated to "guest" story tellers when our teachers took part in a carousel, reading their favourite books
to different classes.

Performances - December 2022

The children performed some amazing productions in front of their families this half term.

Crib Service

Reverend Ruth visited the school for a Crib Service with our children in Key Stage 1.

Snow Day

We had a large amount of snow arrive overnight in time for the start of a new school week.  School was running as usual and the children had a great time playing in the snow.

Christmas Shopping Morning 2022

Every year during the lead up to Christmas, the hall becomes a “shop”. Children have the opportunity to buy gifts for their family and friends. As you can imagine they have a fabulous time and get so much from the experience.

Children in Need 2022

It was great to see the children wearing mixed up clothes and their pyjamas/onesies. The highlight of the day was the Children In Need assembly, where staff played the yes/no game and if they didn't refrain from saying yes/no for 90 seconds a selected child (at random) won the right to custard pie their chosen member of staff.

Sports Day 2022

The sun shone on our Sports Day this year and lots of fun was had by the pupils, their parents and the staff.
